Visiting Lecturer- Dr Manesha Perera

Dr. Manesha Perera is a medical graduate and academic specializing in Clinical Anatomy and Health Sciences Education, with extensive experience in teaching Biomedical Science and Allied Health programmes. She holds an MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India, and an MSc in Clinical Anatomy and Education from Hull York Medical School, United Kingdom.
Dr. Perera has contributed significantly to anatomy education for biomedical, paramedical, and allied health students, having served as a Demonstrator at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, and as Coordinator and Lecturer in Anatomy at the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine. She has also worked as a Visiting Lecturer at multiple Ministry of Health training schools, delivering instruction in gross anatomy, neuroanatomy, cardiac anatomy, radiological and cross-sectional anatomy, supported by cadaver-based practical training and clinical correlations.

Her academic interests include applied and clinical anatomy, anatomy pedagogy, cadaver-based learning, and student-centred teaching approaches in health sciences education. She is an active member of the Anatomical Society of Sri Lanka and is engaged in scholarly work related to anatomy education and clinical anatomy.
