Build Your Engineering Foundation in Sri Lanka. Complete Your Journey in Scotland.
The 2+2 Engineering Pathway at Lyceum Campus, in partnership with the University of Dundee,
Scotland, offers students an exciting opportunity to begin their engineering education in Sri
Lanka and progress to the University of Dundee to complete their internationally recognised BEng
(Hons) degree.
Students commence their first two years at Lyceum Campus, where they develop a strong and broad
foundation in engineering. The programme brings together Basic Sciences, Engineering
Mathematics, Fundamentals of Engineering Mechanics, Electrical and Electronics Engineering,
Programming, Control and Automation, together with practical engineering and problem-solving
skills. This multidisciplinary foundation prepares students to understand how different
engineering disciplines work together to develop modern technologies and engineering
solutions.
Following successful completion of the first two years, students progress to the University of
Dundee for the advanced stages of their chosen degree pathway:
-
BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering
-
BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering with Renewables
At Dundee, students build upon their foundation through advanced study in mechanical
engineering,
engineering design, materials, solid and fluid mechanics, computer-aided engineering, control
systems and project-based learning. Students choosing the Renewables pathway can further develop
expertise in areas such as solar energy, wind and marine energy, hydroelectricity, power
engineering
and sustainable energy systems.
The 2+2 pathway is designed to develop future-ready engineers who can combine fundamental
engineering knowledge with advanced technologies, practical problem-solving and sustainable
engineering thinking. With Dundee's strong emphasis on practical learning, industry engagement
and
real-world engineering challenges, students are prepared to progress towards diverse careers
across
mechanical engineering, manufacturing, energy, renewable technologies, automotive, aerospace and
other advanced engineering sectors.
