This programme is open to students who have
completed the
Biological Science stream — Biology, Chemistry and
Physics —
under the National, Pearson Edexcel or Cambridge
International A/Level curriculum, and who
intend to pursue a
career in medicine or other healthcare professions.
What You Will Experience ?
This is a practical, hands-on course built around integrated learning, not memorisation. Over 4 months you will work through:
- Integrated Basic Sciences: Anatomy, Physiology and the Principles of Clinical Skills taught together, the way they connect in real medicine, not as separate subjects
- Hands-on learning with prosected human bodies, bones and medical imaging in a dedicated Anatomy Museum
- Simple clinical case discussions that show you how basic science actually applies to patient care
- Small group discussions that build communication skills and confidence speaking about medicine
- Hands-on resuscitation training using clinical models
- Medical English, so the vocabulary of the ward and the textbook stops feeling foreign
Classes are held in modern lecture rooms and laboratories within the Faculty of Medical Sciences, alongside specimen-based sessions in the Anatomy Museum.
