Message from Dean of Faculty of Medical Sciences

I warmly welcome you to the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Lyceum Campus and invite you to join me on a journey of growth, excellence and transformation—guided by enthusiasm, openness, innovation and a shared sense of purpose.

I believe that the true purpose of healthcare professional education extends far beyond acquiring knowledge, succeeding in examinations or attaining qualifications. In keeping with the Vision, Mission and Values of Lyceum Campus and the Faculty of Medical Sciences, our aspiration is to inspire and prepare students to become lifelong learners, critical thinkers, compassionate professionals and responsible leaders who place the wellbeing of individuals, communities and society at the heart of all they do.

Healthcare is evolving rapidly. Advances in science and technology, changing patterns of disease and new approaches to patient care demand professionals who are adaptable, reflective and committed to continuous learning. As adult learners, our students must progressively take ownership of their learning and professional development. Our role as educators is therefore not simply to impart knowledge, but to create an environment where curiosity is encouraged, questions are welcomed and self-directed learning flourishes. We aspire to build a culture of learning rather than merely a culture of teaching, with students as active participants in their educational journey.

At the same time, we must never lose sight of the human dimension of healthcare. Alongside scientific knowledge and clinical competence, our students must develop empathy, ethical awareness, effective communication, teamwork and, above all, respect for the dignity of every person.
