Every year on May 12th, the world marks International Nurses Day, the birthday of Florence Nightingale and a moment to recognize just how much nurses carry on their shoulders. At Lyceum Campus, this year's celebration fell on May 14th 2026, bringing together nursing students and faculty to mark the occasion a little closer to home.
The day wasn't just ceremonial. It was a chance to talk about what the profession actually demands, patience, resilience, long hours, and a kind of care that doesn't always get noticed until it's needed most. For nursing students at Lyceum Campus, many of them still early in their training, it was also a reminder of the kind of professionals they're working to become.
Nurses Day at Lyceum Campus tied in closely with the campus's nursing programs, including the Higher Diploma in Nursing (NVQ Level 6), reinforcing why the profession matters and what it means to train for it here.
